    Sea Coast has become our home away from home. The buildings and outdoor space are well maintained. Can't get a better location in New Smyrna! Steps from the ocean and walking and Tai Chi just a few steps away. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and great at customer service. We love our neighbors and have made friends with many over the past 6 years. We plan all year for our trip back.

    This is our 5th February at Sea Coast, the 1st time in this unit. It is nicely furnished with a very “ beachy” theme. Some renovations have been done ie new kitchen. The biggest problem was a lack of storage space for our items needed for a month’s stay. The largest closet by the door has 40+ bath & beach towels on the shelves, even more in the bedroom closets, definitely need to weed out the old linens. The kitchen cabinets were full of dishes, lots of plastic stuff, with no space for our food. As noted in previous reviews, there is not a casserole or baking dish & not enough silverware. This unit is located on the 1st floor with parking across from the door, so it’s very convenient.

    We enjoy our stays at Sea Coast and look forward to returning each year.The area is quiet and the management staff are very helpful and pleasant .The other renters are friendly and welcoming .This year we were in unit 114 overall this unit is well maintained .Some of the kitchen items need replaced ie cookie sheets .There was a shortage of items to make casseroles or lasagne .This first floor unit makes it very convenient with coming and goings.

    This is no reflection on the staff or the grounds of Sea Coast….

    The condo is very dark because it’s on the south side of the complex. It doesn’t get one minute of sun. So, this makes the condo very dark and damp and the smell of mildew. We first came in we had to do a big clean and my husband had to clean the sliding glass doors but this condo needs a DEEP clean and a DEEP clean out. The master bathroom was dusty and the floor was dirty as were all the floors. The “artwork” in the master bathroom are filthy, I tried soaking them for a day in Clorox but the dirt is embedded. The shower has rusty fixtures and mold and mildew in the sliding glass door track. Before I could even take a shower this all had to be cleaned and it’s still very bad. The blinds in all rooms need a good clean. If we were going to stay for 3 months I would have cleaned them. Then kitchen needs to be cleaned out. So many bowls and not enough silverware. We are so happy we brought our crock pot so we didn’t need cooking utensils. The coffee maker is old and the top is broken. The small appliances need to all be replaced. I had to use the blender and that too was filthy. The guest room was damp and mildew smelling. Under every bed including the master there is dust balls water bottles (that are not ours). We had to buy a clothes iron…I didn’t find the one in the condo until the week we were leaving (under 40 towels). The vacuum was so filled with dirt and whatever, I don’t think it has been emptied in 5 years. Don’t know how the “cleaning people” think they are picking up dust and sand.

    For the money that the owner is getting for this condo, its cheaply decorated and in bad shape. I would really think a condo facelift is needed and fire whoever is doing the cleaning at turnover time.
